Weston & Sampson Services is looking for a Wastewater Pump Station Technician. This position will require travel between North Shore and Newton. What you’ll do: •Responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of treatment plants and associated pump stations within the service area. •Perform daily inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment at wastewater and water treatment plants and pump stations, as assigned. What you will bring: •Must have or be able to obtain a Wastewater Treatment (WWTP) and/or Water Treatment Plan (WTP) Operators license within 1 - 1-1/2 years of employment •A high school diploma and a minimum of one-year mechanical experience are required •Good written and verbal communication, customer service, problem solving and organizational skills •Physically be able to climb ladders, lift a minimum of 50 pounds •Must have a valid driver’s license •Required to respond to emergencies, work shift, on-call, weekends, and holidays as assigned; overtime will be required Salary: Dependent on years of experience and licensing. Incentives: Pay increase are offered with each new acquired license (Wastewater, Water, or other job-related license). Sign-On Bonus: Sign-on bonuses are available. Requirements: Full-time position may require various shifts and/or flexible hours. You will be expected to participate in the on-call rotation, occasional overtime, holidays, weekends and nights.
