“A sense of mystery and majesty.” – No Depression From the front-lines at Standing Rock to the archaic streets of Jerusalem, the Sahel Desert to Carnegie Hall, music has been the source of strength for Billy Wylder. The band features Avi Salloway (Bombino/Hey Mama/Avi & Celia) joined by an inspired cast of singular artists who have performed across five continents including concerts at Coachella, Newport Folk Festival, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Montreal Jazz Fest, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center. Rising from the ashes of 2020, Billy Wylder forge ahead with their new EP, Whatcha Looking For (out April 9 on Sand & Gold Records). The music weaves together American folk and rock with sensibilities from the Sahara Desert, exploring new musical space akin to Devendra Banhart, Beck, and Tinariwen. The tracks evoke musical evolutions built on grooves informed by ancient African rhythms, art-rock textures, expansive guitars, violins, synths, and drum machines. Salloway’s lyrics flow with inspiration from mythical songwriting hero Leonard Cohen, while threading together more abstract imagery reminiscent of Thom Yorke. The band has toured extensively, performing and collaborating with renowned artists including Jack Johnson, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Bombino, The Low Anthem, and Pete Seeger. “A sense of mystery and majesty.” –No Depression “Songs that sound impossibly up-to-minute while remaining steeped in tradition.” –PopMatters COVID-19 Guidelines: In order to offer our patrons the safest and most enjoyable experience possible, social distance policies will be in effect through the 2021 season. All guests must wear their masks when out of their seats. In order to be served alcohol, guests will be required to purchase food from the food truck on premises. No food or drink from outside the venue is allowed. Food/ drink will open before the show in staggered intervals depending on patron’s ticket type, please arrive at the time indicated below. (All outdoor events are rain or shine; no refunds) TICKETS: $25 – Table Seating: Tables and chairs socially distanced 6-feet from surrounding tables. Guests are offered table service and may order from our full bar menu once they’ve ordered from food truck. $18 – The Foundry Green (General Admission): Sit socially distanced out on our lawn. Guests sitting on the green are welcome to bring their own chairs and/or blankets and may order canned beer and wine after they’ve ordered from food truck. Seating/ Bar/ Food Truck Open: 5PM for Table Seating – 6PM for The Foundry Green (General Admission).
