**If interested, please submit an updated resume via Craigslist or fax to 305-696-0958.** LAPARKAN is an established, international leading logistics organization in the South Florida area receiving resumes from experienced and candidates for the following position: FULL-TIME, MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – MIAMI, FL Essential duties and responsibilities: • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests, as assigned. • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, landscaping, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained. • Clean and repair building fixtures, including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains. • Document findings in terms of needed repairs and performed duties • Ensure that buildings and grounds are kept free of debris and trash • Perform random checks to ensure that the inside of buildings, such as rooms, offices, and restrooms, are kept clean and sanitized during the day • Make sure that fire detection and protection systems are in perfect working order and inspections are up to date. • Maintaining eye wash stations in the Ocean/PMB warehouse. • Patrol the premises to determine if any hazards are present, and any issues that are discovered should be raised/resolved immediately • Ensure follow through with security and safety standards • Alert appropriate Laparkan authority of any malfunctions in fire or alarm systems, in order for these to be checked • Keep complete and accurate records of the work that is done and the expenses that are carried out • Respond to emergency situations in a prompt manner • Assist with showing Contractors around premises, in order to quote repairs/construction works to be completed • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors • Assist with driving of the company’s vehicles, as needed. • Perform warehouse functions, as needed • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all internal and external customers. • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time, to ensure the smooth functioning of the operation. Requirements include, but are not limited to: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 6 months of related experience and/or training • Computer skills • Forklift Certification preferred • Fluent in English language Benefit packages include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance plans, a 401K Retirement plan, paid time off, and much more.
