Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator
Department: Shipping/ Receiving
Reports To: Production Manager and Shipping Supervisor
Primary Duties: This position is responsible for shipping and receiving items in and out of the bakery. This position is responsible for inspecting and documenting incoming materials and vehicles, checking for pest infestation and other objectionable materials. Record keeping of temperatures of coolers, freezers, and incoming and outbound vehicles. Additionally, the Shipping Coordinator moves materials in a timely manner to proper storage areas after checking in and inspecting all products as they enter the facility, making sure allergens are labeled and stored properly in the correct areas separated from other raw materials.
Additional Duties: Any work assigned that is safe and legal, additional cleaning. Some light maintenance and repair.
Required Equipment for this position: Forklift, Pallet wrapper
Skills Required:
1. Forklift certified
2. Understanding of GMPs
3. Lot Coding
4. Knowledge of FIFO
5. Knowledge of Allergens and how to properly store them
Physical Requirements: This position requires standing, bending, walking, and repetitive movement. This person must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Term of Employment: This is a full time position under plant rules.
