Let's Go Birding Together is an inclusive, guided bird walk for LGBTQIA+ folks and allies.
Let's Go Birding Together!
Join us at Dr. O. Roi Hardy Park in Riverton for a casual, guided bird walk along the Jordan River Parkway especially for LGBTQIA+ folks and our allies. This program is made for adults to connect with each other and the incredible birds who call the Jordan River home.
No bird watching experience? No problem! Our educators are experienced bird nerds and will help you spot and identify birds along the trail. We'll even have freshly-sanitized binoculars and bird guides for you to borrow.
Please wear a mask to this program!
Why is this a Special Edition?
Because we are celebrating nature in the city with a 2-day Urban Bird Festival and this is just one of several awesome activities being hosted by Tracy Aviary! See our whole schedule here: https://tracyaviary.org/events/event/221-urban-bird-festival
More Important Information:
The section of the Jordan River Parkway we'll be exploring is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us if you would like more accessibility information!
We're not the only people around the country hosting Let's Go Birding Together walks! You can read more about the start of Let's Go Birding Together here: https://www.audubon.org/news/lets-go-birding-together-creates-dedicated-space-lgbtq-bird-lovers
