DC Solar is a rapidly growing solar company and is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Solar Installers and Solar Electricians for our operations in the Grass Valley, Auburn, Rocklin, Lincoln, and surrounding areas. DC Solar mostly installs solar systems in Nevada, Placer, Yuba & Sutter Counties and has offices in Auburn and Penn Valley, CA. The Installer installs all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment, ensures successful operation of a complete photovoltaic system and communicate project status with Project Managers and Construction Managers. Qualifications: • Minimum of 1year experience installing solar, in addition to electrical and roofing experience. • Experience complying with OHSA safety requirements and regulations. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • High school diploma or equivalent. Skills: • Ability to work well in a team-based environment. • Ability to work safely on a roof. • Ability to efficiently and effectively, troubleshoot issues. • Ability to correctly and efficiently, install company products. • Strong work ethic, and excellent communication and documentation skills. • Self-motivated with an attention to productivity, detail, and safety. • Skilled in the use of power and hand tools and be able to provide training in the safe operation of power and hand tools to others. • Ability to work safely with heights on ladders and in confined areas. • Ability to drive a company vehicle to and from jobs safely, as required. Responsibilities (included but not limited to): • Installation of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems on roof tops, ground, and mounted carports according to design. • Penetrating, attaching, sealing into a variety of buildings and variety of roofing materials. • Installing module racking, wire runs, conduits, inverters, disconnects, and other equipment. • Collect data and photos during and at the end of each project. • Maintain a clean and safe working environment. • Comply with required training and fulfillment of assigned duties. • Maintain a clean DMV record. • Complete projects within established policies, procedures, strict timeframes and allowed budget. • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety. • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues. • Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions. • Respond to customer complaints to the best of your ability. Physical Demands: • Be able to sit, stand, walk, bend (neck), squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist (neck and waist). • Repetitive use of hands in simple grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing/ pulling, reaching above shoulder and below shoulder level. • Keyboarding with both hands. • Lift up to 100lbs. and 50’. • Work around heavy equipment safely. • Operate vehicles and machinery. • Walk on uneven ground. • Exposure to excessive noise. • Exposure to extremes in temperature, humid or wetness. • Exposure to dust, gas, fume or chemical. • Working at heights, including on roof and rack. • Operate foot controls or repetitive foot movements. • Must be able to work outside and inside. • You must have the ability to lift 75lbs. occasionally throughout the day.
