ISO kitten for young cat who lost companion

I have an 18 month old cat who lost her older companion, and needs a kitten specially. The shelters tend to only post kittens in pairs, but I just need the one kitten to socialize with my young adult cat. I attempted a 6 month older cat rescue, but my cat was too scared and threatened. I would like to make it up to her by getting a non-threatening kitten to be her new lifelong companion.
