Press release from the Town of Westwood: April 28, 2021 Date: 04/29/2021 5:00 PM Location: Via Zoom Webinar Pursuant to Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 Order suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law MGL C. 30A, §18 and the Governor's March 23, 2020 Emergency Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place, the April 29, 2021 Select Board meeting will be conducted via remote participation by the Board. WESTWOOD MEDIA CENTER LIVE STREAM OF SELECT BOARD MEETING: The meeting will be live streamed by Westwood Media Center and the public can view the meeting here. Our government channels will be broadcasting the meeting on Comcast channel 12 and Verizon channel 42. The public is encouraged to watch our meeting via Westwood Media Center live stream and join via Zoom webinar as instructed below. The public will be allowed to make comments, if they wish to do so, during the portions of the meeting designated for public comment. Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so, despite our best efforts, we will post on the town website, www.townhall.westwood.ma.us, an audio or video recording, or transcript, as soon as practicable after the meeting. CHAPTER 138, SECTION 12 The Select Board, as Local Licensing Authority, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 5:00 PM by remote meeting through Zoom due to the COVID-19 state of emergency and in compliance with the Governor's March 12, 2020 Order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law MGL C. 30A, §18 and the Governor's March 23 Emergency Order imposing limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place. The meeting will be filmed live by Westwood Media Center available for viewing on Comcast channel 12 and Verizon channel 42. Those wishing to participate are encouraged to use Zoom. The purpose of the hearing will be to consider a request from Norfolk Golf Club for an alteration of premises application for their existing Section 12 All Alcohol Club licensed establishment at 166 East Street, Westwood, MA 02090. All interested parties are invited to join the public hearing and make their views known to the Select Board.
