Description

Open air balayage basics: consultation, sectioning, placement, application and glossing to create a sun-kissed look. Educator Anny VanDriel Learning the fundamentals of open air balayage is a cornerstone for unlocking creativity around dimensional hair color. It is the jumping off point for understanding sectioning, placement and how dark and light work together to create unique looks. This class focuses on the basics of open air balayage: sectioning, placement, application and glossing to create a seamless, sun-kissed, natural look. As important as technique is the art of consultation and setting expectations for our clients. This is not a long transformation or color correction class. This is a class about putting your balayage where it will be seen and communicating with confidence to achieve a stress free, monetarily successful appointment. Anny VanDriel has been a hairdresser for more than 20 years and a Balayage Educator for the past 6. After spending two years working as a national Balayage Educator for The Business of Balayage, Anny switched gears to open Be Rosie Salon in Claremont, CA. Currently Anny is a Lead Educator for House of Collaboration where she teaches “The Balayage Summit” with a group of co-educators across the country. She also regularly teaches her team at Be Rosie and offers one-on-one Balayage education to hairdressers.
