Your librarian will help you schedule a date and time for a 1-hour weekly session with your tutor. Once a time has been decided, you will be sent a Zoom link for your meeting. At the beginning of your session, you will be greeted by the librarian and sent to a Breakout Room where your tutor will be waiting. In each session, your child's tutor will go through worksheets, activities, and reading projects to help your child grow and maintain the skills they learned over the year. The supervising librarian will do regular check-ins on the Breakout Rooms to make sure things are going smoothly and help resolve any tech issues. Will my student get the same tutor every week? The schedule will depend on your tutor's availability each week. The librarian will help you create a schedule that will work best for both participants. Can a parent hire a Study Buddies' tutor? All tutoring done for Study Buddies is free-of-charge. If a parent would like to hire a tutor who is part of the program, they can email Hannah Lee, the YA Services Librarian, at [email protected], and ask whether that tutor offers more services. [email protected] What if I have more questions? Our YA Services Librarian, Hannah Lee, can answer any questions you might have.
