Join us for a free guided hike along Mount Helena to explore and engage with Helena's history! These training tours prepare our staff for a great season of providing Helena's visitors incredible experiences . Thanks for your patience as we work towards perfection! Join us on this 2-mile guided hike to learn more about the History Hikes & Walks program! On this hike, you will explore the history embedded on Mount Helena’s landscape. As you traverse the mountain, you will hear stories of the colorful characters and community endeavors that helped shape Helena into the town we see today! Your shuttle will leave at its noted start time from the Base Camp, 5 West Broadway, Helena, MT 59601. The shuttle will drop us to the starting point at the Mount Helena trail head, above Reeder’s Village. The hike ends at the lime kilns at Grizzly Gulch, where we will shuttle you back to the Base Camp. Please wear sturdy, closed toe walking/hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water. We ask that you observe 6 feet social distancing while hiking, and bring a mask along for those times when distancing is not practical and for the shuttle. The hike is approximately two miles long and the estimated time to get to and from the trail head and complete the hike is about 2.5 hours. The excursion is of moderate difficulty. Ages 12+ are welcome, but we are not able to accommodate pets. Please book for up to 6 of your employees or members & make sure you also book our Breweries & Brothels Tour!
