Please keep in mind that just because an animal is purebred does not mean it is well bred and that goes for any breed. There is a double merle in the litter which leads me to believe that the dam and sire were both merles or they do not keep tracy well enough to avoid the double merle gene. Both sire and dam had to be carrying this gene, they come with a lot of health issues minus being deaf and blind, or both. If you decide to purchase from this “breeder” please keep in mind that you are supporting an irresponsible breeder. I am not shaming those who breed ethically and are responsible but having a double merle in the genes is not responsible, and breeders who are reliable and responsible don’t have these “slip ups”. In the add they do not include that this puppy is a double merle gene and in my opinion that is not being transparent. Please avoid, I feel badly for the puppies but by giving this person money you’re supporting their “breeding program”. Ps. I’m a vet tech and a Great Dane owner.
