Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church are looking for a skilled maintenance/custodian to join our team. The position is a regular part-time 30 hours a week with benefits. We will be accepting resumes until the position has been filled.
I. Purpose:
The Maintenance/Custodian will assist and support the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the buildings and grounds and keeping them in good operating condition.
II. Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
Ability to clean rooms using broom and/or cleaning machines.
Ability to wax floors, wash windows, dust shelves and furniture and clean bathrooms.
Basic understanding of chemical use for cleaning.
Ability to maintain bathrooms daily replenishing any necessary items.
Ability to clean, sweep and vacuum sanctuary.
Ability to set up and tear down rooms as requested.
Ability to make sure set ups and special equipment are in place each day.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Ability to follow all necessary safety precautions.
Ability to take initiative to look for things that need to be done.
Ability to represent the church in a friendly and helpful manner to suppliers and those using the facilities.
III. Experience required
In building maintenance
With landscaping and landscape maintenance.
Knowledge of replacing sprinklers, mowing, weeding and trimming.
III. Working Relationships
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor and Church Administrator.
IV. Essential Function
To perform those maintenance and custodial tasks as defined by the Maintenance Supervisor.
VI. Review Process
The Maintenance/Custodian is reviewed annually by the Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Personnel Committee.
