Nature Play: Nature Crowns

Description

We will use pressed flowers and plants to make Nature Crowns! This is a fun activity for all ages (with parental assistance). Join us in this fun activity! We will meet at Olson Park in Ann Arbor. We will do a short nature walk through the park and then start our activity. Materials will be provided. For added fun leading up to the event, you can collect and press your own materials to bring! Find plants and flowers that you like, place them between two sheets of wax paper and put them in a hardcover book. Place other heavy books on top and wait. Usually flowers will be ready for use within two weeks. Parking: Olson Park has one main vehicle entrance off of Dhu Varren Road with one large parking lot. The entrance is located on the north side of Dhu Varren Road between Pontiac Trail and the Food Gatherers (Carrot Way). Additonally, there are several trail entrances off Pontiac Trail and Dhu Varren Road. Suggested Donation: $10 to cover cost of materials.
