Description

Summer Music Camps at KMAC are modern band experience camps based on collaboration, learning something new & having FUN! You’ve just been asked to join the band. On day one you’re already jammin’ with your bandmates on a classic 3-chord pop/rock tune. Additional songs are added to the repertoire as the camp leaders learn more about each camper’s musical interests. This camp will be a continuation of the June camp with new material and more opportunities for musical exploration, but taking the earlier camp is not a prerequisite. The small class size and multiple instructors allow us to get new campers up to speed quickly. Explore different styles and learn by doing. Lots of ensemble time will be punctuated with individual instruction from talented and experienced instructors. Each participant will be challenged based on their individual skills and interests. Some additional topics for the group and individuals to explore may include songwriting, improvisation, recording, live sound basics, trying other instruments and maybe even a music collab video. < Up to $100 in DISCOUNTS available - see below for details. > ---------------------- For students entering grades 7-12 (Students outside this range may be allowed, pending consultation)For all levels except total beginners (At least one year of lessons or the equivalent recommended)All instruments welcome – Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, Brass, Woodwind, Strings, Percussion – just check with us first if your main instrument is more “unusual”These will be small camps, no more than 10 participants in each camp (due to COVID restrictions and the number of headphone outputs available).
