About Us: i.c.stars provides a rigorous technology-based workforce development and leadership training program for underserved adults, connecting them with career opportunities through our social enterprise and partner organizations. Participants learn by doing; they build web-based applications to solve client challenges – with coding, business, and leadership instruction provided along the way. They also gain the professional network needed to jumpstart their careers. The Emerging Technologist Internship: The program begins with a 16-week project-based internship at i.c.stars’ learning studio and continues with a 20-month residency program combining professional development, mentoring, and continuing access to wrap-around support. Weekly Stipend & Laptop The two-year program begins with an intensive, 16-week paid internship, Project-based learning builds leadership skills and emotional intelligence 24 prior learning credit hours with a higher education institution partner Core technical skills training in Javascript, HTML, CSS, C#, and SQL Internship Requirements Must be 18 yrs old or older NO COLLEGE DEGREE - GED or High School Diploma ONLY, (NO Bachelors Degree) Mandatory 8 AM–8 PM, Monday–Friday availability for 16 weeks Have had six months previous full-time work experience This position begins Summer 2021!
