POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to oversee the physical condition of the Supported Living homes, grounds, and equipment within the homes. Company vehicle may be provided to perform duties/use of personal vehicle with director approval will be permitted. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required. SKILLS: Proven experience as handyman Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment Basic math skills Good communication ability Well-organized and apt in problem-solving Attention to detail QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are needed. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have the ability to satisfy a background check and comply with the company's drug free workplace policy. Must possess a good driving record, show proof of current driver’s license and insurance. Must secure First aid and CPR certification within 30 days. Must be able to perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs. Must have working knowledge of basic carpentry skills, drywall repair, and repair of household appliances.
