Orcas Business Park is a family owned and operated business park. We manage 7 buildings consisting of office, retail & warehouse spaces in the Georgetown community of Seattle. We are looking for a new Groundskeeper/Landscaper and Day Porter to help us out with landscaping and janitorial duties, as well as minor tenant improvements and property maintenance. The job may be a part-time or full-time job based on performance. Groundskeeper/Landscaper Duties: The day starts off with walking the entire business park to pick up any trash, and disposing of it in the proper containers. You will also be responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding our 7 building Business Park. This may include but is not limited to: • Cut grass with a lawn mower and edge around sidewalks, flower beds and the buildings. • Rake, mulch and blow the grounds as needed, including the roofs and the parking lots. • Trim bushes and prune trees to keep the walkways clear. • Pull weeds as they grow and apply fertilizer as needed. • Pressure wash sidewalks and buildings areas as needed to keep the moss away. • Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle salt to keep people from slipping in the winter. • Apply pesticides to keep property pests free. • Water plants and grass as needed. • Maintain and repair irrigation systems and maintain landscaping equipment. …………and much, much more... Day Porter Duties: • Check bathrooms each day to make sure they are clean and paper products are stocked. • Deep clean all bathrooms and common areas. • Empty garbage and recycle bins as needed and keep the dumpster areas clean. Tenant Improvement Duties: • Assist with tenant move-in/move out projects. • Clean kitchenettes, blinds, windows, walls and/or doors. • Remodel, construction and maintenance cleanup. • Remove and dispose of old carpets. ~Only Candidates currently living in the Seattle area will be considered. ~Living close to the SoDo/Georgetown area is beneficial, as there can be evening and weekend emergencies that employees may need to respond to. ~Needs to be able to carry 75lbs. We move around building materials, drywall, doors and furniture. ~Needs to be comfortable with power tools, landscape engines and pressure washers.
