EXTON, PA — The two new COVID-19 vaccination sites announced earlier this week will be open for walk-ins, with no appointment needed this Saturday and Sunday, the Chester County Health Department announced Thursday.
The Exton Square Mall's former Sears store and the Longwood Gardens overflow parking area are serving as COVID-19 vaccine walk-in clinics on Saturday and Sunday, May 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Exton Square Mall clinic will be administering the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine and the Pfizer vaccine, the health department said.
The Longwood Gardens overflow parking lit clinic, which will be a drive-thru, will administer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and the Moderna vaccine.
An appointment is not necessary, but residents who prefer to schedule an appointment can do that here.
Following the announcement by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice (ACIP) to resume the administration of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, Chester County this week added the two new large vaccine clinic sites and has been administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week, Chester County said on Monday.
As of April 29, 65 percent of all Chester County residents eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine had received at least the first dose of the vaccine, the Chester County Health Department said today.
Chester County said on Monday that combined, the new sites will have the capacity to administer 2,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine per day.
