Grooming job duties include bathing, drying, fluffing, brushing, cleaning, and other given tasks. We need someone hard working, reliable, punctual, able to handle quickly switching tasks, and focus on given tasks, with a good work ethic and love for animals. You may also be asked to help in the boarding and reception areas, so you must be comfortable with large groups of dogs, big dogs, and interacting with clients. Responsibilities will start small and grow as you learn. We use a very strict system and process to insure all dogs and cats, above all else, stay safe in our care and leave our salon looking and feeling amazing. The Successful Candidate Will: * Above all have a love for dogs and cats * Be enthusiastic and willing to learn * Be honest and forthcoming, reliable and punctual * Have great people and animal skills * Be able to lift at least 50lbs * Be free from any allergy that may interfere with your work * Be comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, abilities and handicaps * Have confidence and be firm, but fair, gentle and loving when handling all pets * Have excellent communication skills and an overall positive attitude * Have an excellent command of the English language both spoken and written I am fully willing to train someone from the ground up. Prior handling of animals is a plus. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Must be able to pass a drug test. THIS IS NOT AN EASY JOB. You will get wet and stinky, be on your feet for most of the day. We provide a fun environment with opportunity to learn as long as you are willing to show that you are putting in a lot of effort and hard work. You must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Job Types: Full time Salary: $13.50 an hour and up plus tips Job Type: Part-time with the possibility of full-time.
