Description
Momma Dog is 4 year old girl. After she was dropped at a shelter in Gallup, New Mexico with her litter of 5 puppies, and, after weaning, she has made her way up to New Hope.
Momma is a very sweet and sensitive dog that has a lot of anxiety, but not a mean bone in her body. Things that make her anxious include riding in cars, loud/sudden or strange noises, sudden movements and ceiling fans. Momma's ideal home would be calm and quiet and include at least one other nice, confident dog. (Overbearing, alpha, and pushy/playful dogs cause her anxiety):
Her new family should be patient and gentle as she adjusts. She gets along with cats, other dogs, and probably just anything or anyone. She is potty-trained, walks on a leash, and is not food aggressive. This is one very special girl that is sure to be a dedicated, loving, loyal companion for whoever decides (is lucky enough) to adopt her.
I'm vetted, including spay/neuter, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordatella), de-worm, heartworm check (if appropriate), and microchip. I come with a crate, bed, collar, leash, food, bowls, and vet records. The crate is returned upon completion of the trial adoption.
New Hope Cattle Dog rescue is a 501(c)3 organization specializing in the re-homing of the Australian Cattle Dog. Because we have a license through the Department of Agriculture and are registered with the Secretary of State, we have some specific procedures that include filling out an online adoption application interest form:

It is quick and easy, that's the place to start.
To cover our vet costs, the rehoming fee is $300.
