PLEASANTON, CA — Dublin worshipers are invited to convene at the Alameda County Fairgrounds May 6 to celebrate the National Day of Prayer.
The event will be held at noon in the outdoor amphitheater and is organized by Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert, who represents Dublin, Fremont, Livermore and some surrounding unincorporated communities. People may also register to participate via Zoom.
Haubert said in a statement that he seeks to bring people of all backgrounds together to "highlight the cooperation and collaboration between church and state."
"I am hopeful this year is our recovery year," he said. "We have never needed prayer as much as these times with the pandemic and a hopeful recovery."
Elected officials will offer opening statements and devotionals will be led by leaders from the following religious organizations:
