Description

Hi everyone! I'm sharing this on behalf of my research lab in the UCLA Psychology Department, in hopes that any interested parents/families will see it. We are currently recruiting parents with ADOPTED children of either 6-9 years or 13-16 years of age for a (virtual) study investigating the ways early life experiences influence physical and emotional health across child and adolescent development. The UCLA Brain & Body Lab is currently enrolling families with ADOPTED children aged 6-9 and 13-16 years of age for its Mind, Brain, and Body multi-year study exploring the ways early life experiences influence physical and emotional health across child and adolescent development! Sessions with researchers will involve playing computer games, completing surveys, and giving (optional) biological samples- all from the comfort of your home! Through our research, we hope to build new and needed knowledge of child development!  The research experience will take approximately 1-2 hours in which you’ll log onto a Zoom session with a researcher as well as a second brief session one week later. All participants will receive $45-$65 for participating and your child will also get toys and prizes! Additionally, your participation will be an opportunity for your family to learn about/experience social science research! For more information regarding the Mind, Brain, and Body study, click here. The principal investigator of this study is Dr. Bridget Callaghan, who you can reach at [email protected] any questions or concerns. **About the Brain & Body Lab** The Brain & Body Lab is led by Dr. Bridget Callaghan who is an assistant professor of psychology at The University of California, Los Angeles(UCLA). The lab investigates how early experiences influence interactions between the brain and the body, contributing to mental and physical health.
