Description

I have a 40' MCI bus that has been sitting for over a year and now there is a power steering hose leak. I have located the leak but the hose runs through a frame rail/bulkhead and is not accessible. So it needs a new hose run from the steering sector in front to the pump in the rear which will be around 35 feet. The new hose needs to run along the underside of the bus and snake appropriately around structures and be correctly attached along the way for a clean and proper fit. The vehicle starts and airs up correctly, allowing space underneath to work. I'm willing to pay a fair hourly wage. But I'm trying to save the service call and big bucks of a major shop to do it. I'm no fool when it comes to tools and mechanics, but I know my limitations and don't want to take on a job like this on my own. I'll be there when you do the work, and can be a competent assistant if you want, or I can stay out of your way. In any case, I need someone with experience doing a job of this size who can do it right the first time. It isn't a matter of walking up to the parts counter and getting an off the shelf hose. You need to have your own tools etc. (of course) Can you help me out? I am available weekday mornings up until noon, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Please email me back with a bit of info about your experience, your hourly rate, and general idea of your hours of availability. The project is located exactly where you see the pointer on the map. Thanks much in advance.
