Job Overview: Responsible for performing general cleaning and upkeep of assigned area within a specific building. Specific tasks are not guaranteed, therefore, must be flexible in performing assigned duties as outlined below. Job Duties 1. Conducting all required cleaning for assigned area 2. Emptying of various waste receptacles 3. Vacuuming carpets 4. Sweeping and mopping floors and stairways 5. Dusting of furniture, fixtures, ventilation and other surfaces 6. Polishing of glass and metal surfaces 7. Cleaning of restrooms *Job duties may be modified at any time Essential Job Functions/Qualifications: 1. Must have ability to work with other crew members and be able to take direction from the Manager. 2. Must be able to perform all of the above job duties. 3. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel, twist, reach & climb for 4 to 8 hours per day 4. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds 5. Previous cleaning/janitorial experience preferred but not required. Work Environment 1. Exposure to cleaning solvents/chemicals 2. Exposure to blood borne pathogens and communicable diseases 3. Bending, stooping, standing, pushing and pulling, and reaching on a repetitive basis throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodations. 4. Use of telephones and computers may be required. Organizational Relationships 1. Reports to the Manager on duty. 2. Will supervise other employees.
