Parks Maintenance Worker and Crew Leader Needed at VRD

If you like working in the mountain air and aren't afraid to get your hands a little dirty, this is the job for you! VRD seeks strong, out-door loving employees to join our Park Maintenance Worker to help with the up-keep of our beautiful parks in Vail. This means working outside in whatever the weather may be, but lots of time in the sun! From putting up wind screens on our tennis courts, to ensuring the lawn care of both Ford Park greens, the Parks Department will keep you active all summer long! Crew leader is responsible for keeping the crew on task and ensuring saftey and productivity throught the work day (and is compensated accordingly). Must have leadership skills and be comfortable keeping coworkers on task while working in vairous sites away from Director's supervison. Applicants must have a driver’s license and be able to operate or be ready to learn to operate equipment such as golf carts, mowers, and string trimmers. Job is available immediately to end of August. Hours are generally 8am to 4pm with some weekend availability necessary. Pay is $16 to $17 per hour depending on availability and experience and responsibilities.
