Established small business company in the Kansas City area has an immediate opening for a multi-skilled and reliable individual for a Service Technician position. This position supports our customers with both in-house and onsite services, requires a valid driver’s license and some overnight travel. We provide a low stress, supportive hands-on environment and wear many hats to meet a wide range of services for our customers. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, from work history or formal training - Good mechanical aptitude for maintaining and operating general shop and installation tools and equipment. - Ability to apply knowledge for trouble shooting and communicating mechanical, electrical and quality related issues. This position takes an active part in successfully completing in-shop and onsite projects. - Ability to read and follow Electrical and Mechanical Drawings - Work experience in Control Panel Wiring, under the guidance of an experience Electrical Technician. ADDITIONAL SKILLS, preferred but can be developed in this position. - General and project specific Industrial Services skills and knowledge for equipment maintenance and new systems installation. - Installation and Maintenance of Industrial Water Purification systems (DI, RO, Softeners, Filtration) - Experience with Plastic/Vinyl/FRP Piping System, Tanks, Pumps & misc. system components - Assist Sales and Engineering with obtaining pricing and lead times from established vendors - Assist in project assembly and installation, including mechanical, plumbing, low voltage wiring, insulation, modification, and system startups. SAFETY/HEALTH: - Required to work from and operate Ladders, Forklifts & Manlifts, - Comply to Company, Customer and OSHA requirements as required per work location and environmental conditions. - PPE, dependent on work environment to include but not limited to Gloves, Eye & Hearing protection, Face Shield, Respirator, Steel Toe Shoes, Rubber Boots, Apron, Tyvek, Safety Harness, etc. BENIFITS: - Reputable, established small business where you are not just another employee - Competitive Salary, $35,000 to $ 55,000, based on skill level and experience - Health Insurance (Employer pays 100% for Employee) - 401K and Paid Vacations - Company vehicle provided for travel away from office - Gain valuable hands-on experience and practical skills for upward advancement Forward Resume, qualified applicants will received additional information.
