funky rock originals drummer wanted north of Boston

Description

I enjoy creating original music....not ALL funky, but the terminally white drummers I've played with just can't play with commanding tempo. I don't need a metronome; I just need someone who enjoys what drums can do: create polyrhythms off of other players, guide lay-ears to the next part especially when the whole song isn't 4 bars of 4 beats 4 times for every fourth going forward.....seriously, you shouldn't play drums if that's all you can grasp. If you're one of these pro's here, and you can record, tell me how you work- I can be satisfied just recording my material with sending stems. But Ideally, I'm looking for a recreational dad. Few have tastes that match mine- college radio, prog/psych/funk, indie/yacht rock, world/jam/noise, postpunk/shoegaze/new-no wave/krautrock.... essentially I don't concern myself with commercial appeal, but ultimately time tested western music is all there to be influenced by. If find metal a black hole for creativity and I don't relate to country music. I'm not "technically" amazing, I'm not a shredder. The songs I write aren't about ME playing the guitar/keys/etc. If you enjoy playing the drums as an instrument, you practice, you tap beats on your knees incessantly, and you like to try new things from song to song, I want to hear from you. I'm not interested in rusty beer-league dads with limited style goals who don't listen to new music who don't understand how to use their whole kit. Want to join a band? Talk to me about my possible offer. Talk to me about just recording. I'd rather meet someone (fully vaxed) but the easier you can make it, you can convince me of online collaboration.
