Bike Mechanic – Pedego Glendale Peoria Pedego GP was established in 2017 and is a fun and fast-paced work environment where everyone works as a team. Position Summary As a Pedego Bike Mechanic, you can work on the highest quality of electric bikes. You will enjoy the workload of a bike shop with the ability to grow the service department. Working individually and as part of a team, extended standing, and some heavy lifting of 60 lbs. or more may be expected. Although bike maintenance will be the primary focus of the role, you will also assist with bike sales, rentals, and general customer services. Reports to: Owners Requirements • Previous professional bike mechanic experience required, Ebike related knowledge preferred. • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. • A positive and professional attitude and a consistent work ethic must be self-motivated and work well alone as well as on a team in a shop and office atmosphere. • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment. • Sales and Customer Service experience is a must. Primary Responsibilities • Unpack, assemble, and inspect bicycles and components. • Complete standardized tasks within a bicycle processing line including truing wheels, tire installation, derailleur tuning/adjustment, and brake adjustment. • Advanced technical skills of component replacement, brake bleeds, bearing installation, suspension overhauls, truing wheels, tubeless tire installation, tuning/adjustment, and final quality control check. • Demonstrating proficiency with our computer systems and software. • Daily maintenance and upkeep of standardized workstations. • Fill in where needed in customer service and sales roles. Salary Range For this role, the hourly rate starts at $15 to $20.00 an hour based on a 40-hour workweek depending on relevant experience and tenure in the role.
