A patriot wants what is best for the majority of this nation even when it is not convenient for the individual. Patriotism is often selfless rather than selfish. If you place your political party over and above fellow Americans, you have missed the point of patriotism. To disrespect any American is to disrespect every American. We are one team. Political division is what occurs in 3rd world countries. Unity is what makes this nation strong.
