A Handsome Dog in Need of Help

Hi all, was hoping to get some feedback from some loving dog owners and rescuers about a dog in need of a home in/near the city of Chicago. My roommate is the owner of a very sweet dog named Kal that has been living with us for over half a decade now. Kal is very anxious, has high energy, and is unfortunately very dog aggressive to an extreme degree; calling him a 'handful' would be a massive understatement! However, Kal is also intelligent, cuddly towards humans, and has been a wonderful companion in my life as a young man living here in Chicago. Long story short... My roommate is moving back to California in the immediate future, and our plans to start the process of re-homing Kal with the Anti-Cruelty society fell through yesterday... as they told us the likely situation for Kal at the facility would be euthanasia due to the way he is around other dogs. We're now looking for any solution that will allow us to find a temporary or permanent situation for Kal in the City of Chicago (or otherwise) with time and life plans very much playing a factor in the immediacy of the situation. Our challenge now, since time is of the essence, is to find a place that welcomes severe dog-aggressive behavior for Kal to stay temporarily as we find a more permanent fix. So please, any help, advice, or direction you could provide to help this dog have a life would be greatly appreciated. Really not sure what to do here :/
