Job Description We are looking for a dependable and experienced safety carpenter/Junior Carpenter to perform physical labor at our construction projects in the REDDING, CA area. Candidate must have a minimum of two years carpentry experience working on relevant projects framing and using skill saws, drills, screw/nail guns, measuring tape, etc.is necessary. Candidate must be eager to also perform job site clean-up duties. You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands, be able capable of climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds. Being able to work alone, following instructions, good communication skills and understanding safety rules are important. Please read job responsibilities before submitting a resume. Responsibilities • Framing safety rails, temporary stair cases, and other various carpentry duties • Measuring accurately and cutting materials • Clean site from debris and discarded materials to maintain a safe job site • Unload/load and carry materials at construction sites • Use equipment to break old forms and structures • Digging if/when necessary • Assembling/disassembling temp structures • Assist tradesmen with their duties • Physical Requirements include (but not limited to): sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, kneeling, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, grasping, use of hands and wrists, repetitive motion, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, work in all climates, & be capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment. Skills • Proven 2 years minimum experience in framing carpentry • Must have experience-proficiency with skill saws, drills, screw and nail guns • Ability to use a shovel, broom, and other small tools as needed • Ability to work in a team or on your own • Ability to follow instructions • Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination • High school diploma or equivalent - must be over 18 years of age • Must be able to pass a drug test prior to employment • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid & appropriate State driver’s license Send Resume to [email protected] or apply at 3083 Southgate Lane, Chico.
