All Star Labor & Staffing has been contracted to hire a Forklift Operator (cherry picker) for a warehouse in the Wilsonville area. This position is responsible for the general warehouse duties of receiving, unloading and storing material delivered to a company branch. Qualifications for the Forklift Operator position: - 1+ years experienced warehouse person. - Fast paced environment for someone who is quick but safety conscientious. - Able to successfully pass a valid OSHA approved forklift certification. - Lumber yard experience a plus. - Proficient and able to work safely with hand and power tools. - Must be highly quality-minded in all job functions. - Good oral communication, employee relations and customer service skills. - Able to move large bunks of material 16ft or larger a plus. Essential Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator position: - Load and unload various building materials. - Check incoming product to verify material against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies or damage. - Locate and stage material for delivery by company truck or for pickup by customers. - Assist branch truck driver by loading and securing material in the truck in a manner that assures no damage in transit. - Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches shipping documents and that the products are in good condition. - Stocking locations of building materials. - Minor math skills required. - Maintain warehouse in a clean, orderly and safe manner. - Assist in taking inventory as required on a regular basis. - Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies. - Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Schedule for the Forklift Operator position: Day Shift: Starts at 10 (generally 50 hours/week OT = $24+) *Public transportation is not reliable right now due to COVID shutting down bus lines and limiting schedules.
