6 months old puppy needs a good home. German short haired pointer - Grandfather was a champion hunting dog - Father is a pointer and mother is a Catahoula Leopard. -President Roosevelt hunted with Catahoula Leopards in 1907 and they are the official dog of the state of Louisiana. They are exceptional hunters and are also used for search and rescue. Natural herders. The German Short Haired Pointers are very easy going and have a happy temperament and have a history of quality hunting. This baby is beautiful with her striking smooth black coat and a few white spots. She is happy and loves children, other dogs, and we do not know about cats, but she has not shown aggression towards them. She does ask to chase the birds and is happiest in the outdoors. This puppy needs a home with another young dog. She has separation anxiety when alone - even in the back yard. We have posted her earlier, but as we get to know her more, decided we are looking for a specific home, with someone interested in hunting and has another dog. She is not fixed and will have gorgeous puppies. She is up to date on her shots. The pictures here are her parents and when she was a new puppy - if you are looking for a new very young - 8 week old puppy - she is not it - if you want an apartment dog to stay home alone all day - she is not it. Our puppy is 6 months old and is about half the size she will be grown - 30 lbs or so now - 60lbs or so later. She is active but not overly. She enjoys daily walks. She is a one person dog, but will love all in the household. Our little grouping here arrived home with this little pup without doing their homework on the breed. Puppy came from a big litter from an accidental cross and the puppies turned out beautiful and went quickly. Since we purchased her, and cost of her care and shots before she rehomes, we are asking for $650.00. Remember, if you want a new 8mo cute puppy but not a 6 month old peppy puppy, she is not for you. A hunter knows the value of a potty trained, obedient hunting dog. We reserve the right to cancel any adoption request/process. I will add more pictures.
