Landscape Construction, Crew Member (Portland Metro) Compensation D.O.E. Starting at $17.00 - $21.00 + Hiring Bonus. Immediate Start Available. Employment type: Full-time or Part-Time Grasstains is a landscape design and build company that has been growing rapidly since our inception. We have a passion for making outdoor spaces great, no matter how small or large a project. At Grasstains, we want to continue building our company with passionate, dynamic, caring and creative hard-workers. We are looking for a self-starter who works extremely well in team settings for a common goal. Grasstains is currently looking for seasonal crew members to add to our team. Work Schedule: Currently, our crews work Monday thru Thursday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. This transitions back to five days a week at the end of October. For part-time workers, we do require full day shifts, but are flexible on days. Job duties include: • Working with the Foreman or Crew lead and a team of 3-4 individuals on average • Retaining walls • Paver patios • Irrigations systems • Water features • Drainage systems • Sod/turf lawns • Plantings • Site prep Skill Requirements: • Have a willingness to work and the ability to take direction. • Ability to stand, bend, squat and be able to lift 30-50 lbs. on a regular basis, up to 70 lbs. on occasion. • Have reliable transportation to arrive at our shop and/or job site. Be on time and accountable to your team. • Be able to operate a variety of hand tools and power equipment. • A strong sense of character, great work ethic, and a positive "make it happen" type mentality. Useful or applicable work experience desired (but not required): • Planting and/or plant ID • Outdoor carpentry including fences, decks, arbors/pergolas • Ability to drive large truck and trailer Compensation: $17.00-$21.00 D.O.E. Hiring bonus of $500 after 90 days Company holidays (8) (For full time employees), waiting period applies If you have extensive irrigation experience, the hourly rate may be increased.
