VP-Maintenance is currently seeking an experienced and skilled FULL-TIME PAINTER to become a part of our maintenance team. We are based in Tempe and perform work throughout the valley. This is a family owned and operated company that has been providing unparalleled service to the commercial Phoenix metropolitan area for 19 years. We have a reputation for quality, attention to detail and integrity. Qualifications: Individual should have general knowledge in the following: Proper masking and prep work for all surfaces. Experienced in using and properly maintaining an airless sprayer for all surfaces. Knowledgeable on paints and stains for all surface types, both interior and exterior. Drywall repairs, mud, tape and texture matching. Excellent skills at cut-ins and roll uniformly, attention to detail and neatness is a must. Ability to use scissors lifts, boom lifts and set-up scaffolding with minimal help. Knowledge in asphalt striping is a plus. Maintain a safe, clean and non-disruptive work area, able to work in a “Team” effort. Minimum Experience/Education: 2 - 3 years commercial painting experience. A high school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Departmental Required Skills, Necessary Licenses or Certifications: Must be able to communicate effectively in English with supervisors and the general public and understand verbal and written instructions and other communications regarding work assignments and other matters. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and up to 90 plus pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must have a valid Arizona driver license and a reliable truck for transportation to and from the worksites daily. Clean background and drug free workplace.
