Retro Burgers and Bands for Suicide Prevention is an all-day music event. This year we are going retro. Keeping the event small and safe. Burgers and Bands for Suicide Prevention is a grass-roots event organized by the Brennan family. Our goal is to show people in our community that they are not alone in their struggles with mental illness. Burgers and Bands for Suicide Prevention represents hope for a light at the end of the tunnel. The money raised at this event goes back into the schools and community for mental health initiaitives. To date, we have provided peace walks, sensory walks, calming boxes, support groups, mental health training, mindfulness classes and speakers for elementary, middle and high schools throughout Anne Arundel County. And still, the thing we are most proud of is the event itself. The number of parents we have spoken to who credit Burgers and Bands events for showing their children that it is okay to ask for help is astounding. We could not be more proud to be a part of this community event. This year's event is going to be much like our first event 4 years ago. We are keeping it small due to COVID and we are ticketing it to make sure we have enough room to keep everybody safe. We expect people will come and go throughout the day but at times their may be a wait due to county restrictions. We will do our best to make sure the wait is not long and even in line we plan for you to have fun.
