Installation / Service Technician Installation and service of custom blinds, shades, shutters and draperies. Most work is performed inside clients homes and commercial buildings. Good customer relations skills are a must! Must be proficient with manual and power tools. We will provide training regarding the unique specifications of our products. Ability to take accurate measurements. On-site trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills are required. Occasional work on extension ladders. Maintain and organize parts inventory, in the shop and on the work van. Handle small repairs in-house, as well as the return process to the manufacturer. Possibilities for cross-training and growth into other areas of the business, if desired. Automated (motorized) window coverings have become a significant portion of our business. We are hoping to offer manufacturer training to the right candidate, who will eventually become our Automation Specialist. There are definitely growth opportunities. This is a very specialized business and once trained and experienced, Professional Window Treatment Installers are in high demand and make a good income. Must be well groomed and mature. Interesting business, where every project is different and customers are happy to see us! We help beautify homes and work spaces and are greeted with enthusiasm and warmth! We value independent thought and innovation, but adaptability and listening skills are equally as important. Part-Time, flexible schedule (mostly Monday - Friday, daytime hours, with some Saturdays). Approximately 25-30 hours weekly on average to start. No night time work.
