Brownie is a super smart boy. He is the perfect best friend. He will listen to all you tell him about your day and your life and will look at you with those wise eyes understanding it all. Brownie also loves to pay with toys and have fun and take walks. He wants to be loved and have someone to love and will brighten up your life. Our process: If you are interested in Brownie or any of our adorable adoptables, please fill out an adoption application from our website. If we feel it's a good match, we can make plans for a meet and greet at one of our twice-monthly trips to Chesapeake, or you can schedule a visit at the shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
