Greetings... I am assembling a hard rock band to play my ORIGINAL songs... I live on Long Island but I am searching for a LEAD GUITARIST in the Queens or Brooklyn areas because I know a singer who is interested and he has a rehearsal room in a Long Island City building... We can make as much noise as we want... This location would make commuting for band practices easier for players who are City residents... I am searching for the right rock lead player (maybe 45-60 but younger is welcome also) who is not only skilled and somewhat hot-stuff (ego-free) but is also easy to get along with... Think Slash, Joe Perry, some Michael Schenker or Mathias Jabs perhaps... BUT BE YOURSELF... Some shredding certainly fits my sound but not too excessive... More melodic hard lead playing would be a good fit... I intend to gig in the downtown NYC area (I know booking folks) and on Long Island...
