Chine Collé is a technique that allows you to add colour to your prints without making another block. Using Chine Collé you are able to print on much finer, more delicate papers which are bonded onto a more sturdy paper during the printing process. Japanese papers (washi) will be used in this class. You can bring your own relief block, or use ones provided by the SPPC. No experience necessary. This is an IN-PERSON class. As such the following COVID protocols will be in place: Masks will be worn by all visitors to the shop. ***This is not optional***Physical distancing of six feet at all times.All surfaces cleaned after use.All students will sign in with name and contact info.______________________________________________________________________________________ This class is taught by Bethany Taylor. Bethany Taylor, owner/operator of Interpunct-Press, Spokane's own custom letterpress shop. She has been a letterpress printer, designer, and press mechanic since 2006. She first learned poster printing at the legendary Hatch Show Print in Nashville, and is a founder of Millwood Print Works. She also works in a variety of other print media and bookbinding and has been doing so since 2000.
