Description

Please join us for Sunday Mass. Our live stream will continue for those who cannot attend. Please RSVP here to reserve a spot and submit an Informed Consent form if you have not done so already. General Principles 1. All the faithful in the Archdiocese of San Francisco are still dispensed from the obligation of attending Sunday Mass. Although the faithful are dispensed from their obligation to attend Mass, they must observe the Lord’s Day and are encouraged to spend time in prayer on Sunday (such as following a live-stream Mass or participating in a spiritual or corporal act of mercy). This also applies to Holy Days of Obligation. 2. Those who are at higher risk of more severe complications from COVID-19 (e.g., those who are over 65 or who have underlying health conditions) are to continue staying at home. Likewise, anyone with a cough of any sort, and anyone feeling ill, should not come to the church for a visit or any ceremonies. As circumstances allow, a visit from a priest, deacon, or extraordinary minister of Holy Communion to bring them the Eucharist may be possible. 3. The Live-streaming of the Mass will continue for those who are not able to attend. Arrangement and Procedures for Worship 1. Anyone attending Mass must wear a mask. There are to be no exceptions to this. If you cannot wear a mask for the duration, it is probably not time for you to return to Mass. All faithful able to do so are asked to bring their own hand sanitizer and mask. 2. Each adult parishioner (18 and older) must sign and submit an “Informed Consent” form. 3. We require a six-foot distance rule between people, except for single household members, who do not need to practice physical distancing and may sit together. 4. Parishioners must follow all directions of ushers. Ushers are responsible for checking people in, showing parishioners to their pew, and ensuring appropriate mask use and social distancing. 5. Getting seated takes longer than usual, so please arrive early. 6. Music is kept at a minimum for two reasons: to shorten the and because singing expels more droplets than speaking. 7. Receptacles are used for the Collection. This is to reduce contact among parishioners. Please remember to drop your donation into the receptacle as you enter. 8. Unfortunately, no restroom is available during Mass. 9. The faithful exchange the sign of peace by remaining in their places and reverently bowing to each other (within a shelter in place unit or family, do as you are used to). 10. Those wishing to come forward to receive Eucharist may do so, maintaining 6 feet between them and others (markers are present). You will need to take your mask off just before receiving it, replacing it immediately after you have consumed Eucharist. If you need to receive on the tongue, stick out your tongue and stand still until Eucharist is placed on your tongue. Replace your mask and return to your seat for the dismissal and final blessing. 11. Please remember to maintain social distancing as you depart.
