Come enjoy a night of by candlelight of classical French and American style music ft. New Orleans musicians to benefit Treme youth. The event will feature classically trained clarinetist and founder of Anna’s Place NOLA youth programs, Darryl Durham, performing works of French and American composers for clarinet, piano, and violin. Mr. Durham will be joined by Ken Leach on piano, adjunct music faculty at Tulane University and Elizabeth Overweg, violinist with the Louisiana Philharmonic. In addition to the concert, author and historian V. P. Franklin will be signing copies of his latest book The Young Crusaders. The Young Crusaders chronicles the activism of children and teenagers in the Civil Rights Movement. The event will be hosted by St. Anna’s Episcopal Church and Anna’s Place NOLA ,the cost of admission will go toward providing fieldtrips for underprivileged youth during Anna’s Place NOLA’s 2021 summer program. Light refreshments will be available.
