One of the most popular fundraising events of the year, the 13th annual Chef’s Potluck is back! Bring your chairs and lawn blankets and join us at a socially-distant, COVID-safe fundraiser at The Bend on June 6, 4 – 7 p.m. Every purchase of a 10×10′ “pod” (up to 4 people / pod) will be all-inclusive, with a Potluck Basket of food prepared by a stellar local chef, local beverages and sweets. Enjoy live music by the Marshgrass Mamas featuring Cary Ann Hearst and Sly & The Family Stone Tribute Band while taking in a beautiful view of the Ashley River and celebrating the bounty we have here in the Lowcountry. We can't wait to see you! Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. and the music begins at 4 p.m. Note: Kids ages 2yrs+ count towards the 4-person limit per pod. Tots / babies under age 2 are welcomed in addition to the 4, at no cost. Choose a "potluck basket" prepared by one of our participating restaurants: Basic Kitchen, Chef Charlie Layton - Uses seasonal, local produce and the best ingredients to create food that’s nourishing and delicious Brasserie La Banque, Executive Chef Jeb Aldrich - A seasonal French picnic highlighting local ingredients Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, Chef / Owner Carrie Morey - Callie's award winning biscuit sandwiches using locally inspired ingredients Carolima's Lowcountry Cuisine, Chefs Emma Cromedy and Sameka Jenkins - Authentic Gullah Geechee & Lowcountry cuisine Cru Catering / Cru Cafe, Executive Chef and Owner John Zucker - Gourmet comfort food FIG / The Ordinary, Chefs Mike Lata, Jason Stanhope, Tori Schumacher - Seasonally inspired food highlighting the best that our farmers and fishermen have to offer The Grocery, Executive Chef/ Owner Kevin Johnson - Local ingredient-driven cuisine with Mediterranean and Southern influences The Post House Inn, Chef Nathan Hood - Contemporary American dishes, with a focus on fresh seafood and seasonal produce Slightly North of Broad, Executive Chef Russ Moore - Lowcountry-inspired dishes featuring fresh, local ingredients Ted's Butcherblock, Nick Mc Bride - Chef / Ted Dombrowski - Owner - Grilled Meats on the Big Green Egg Participating beverage suppliers: Grassroots Wine - One bottle of Rosé per pod Holy City Brewery - One 6-pack of local beer per pod Fatty's Beer Works - One large format 16oz can per pod Cannonborough Soda Co. - Two handcrafted sodas per pod ** Important notes: This event is a fundraiser event for Lowcountry Local First. Proceeds from this event support the work this local 501c3 nonprofit does year-round to cultivate an economy anchored in local-ownership. If weather becomes an issue, attendees will be invited to drive by the event venue (The Bend) to pick up your food and beverages and enjoy from the comfort of home. Due to the nature and scale of this event, no food/beverage substitutions or adjustments can be made. We will do our best to note of any dietary concerns as menus are provided by chefs closer to the event. General descriptions for each chef/restaurant's participation are provided. Our goal is to make this event as safe as possible during COVID-19. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Please stay home if you are at high risk, not feeling well, or if you have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19. Read through the below instructions carefully to make sure you understand the protocols and procedures for these shows: You must be masked at all times while outside of your square, you may take your mask off while inside your square. You will not be allowed to move between squares. You will not be allowed to have more than 4 people in your square at any time. When the event is over, we will be dismissing you by rows (like how you exit a plane). Please remain in your square until your Row is called for exiting. We ask that you do not wander around the grounds or leave your square unless you have to go to the bathroom. Restrooms will be clearly marked and a staff member will sanitize between uses. Please be courteous and clean up your square while leaving. Trash cans will be at the end of each row, and recycling bins will be provided as you exit. Things to Bring: - You may bring your own cooler with non-alcoholic beverages and/or snacks. Coolers will be checked on-site. - Bring your own chairs, blankets or small folding table if you wish. Utensils, bowls, napkins and a variety of local snacks and beverages will be provided. - Bug spray and/or sunscreen. - Your best dance moves. - Your appetite. Things to NOT Bring: - Firearms or weapons of any kind. - Outside alcohol. - Animals. - Tobacco Products - Smoking is not permitted on the grounds. - Large umbrellas or other items that require staking into the ground. Small, personal shade devices are allowed.
