Description
MCLEAN, VA — The McLean Farmers Market will be one of the remaining Fairfax County Park Authority-run farmers markets opening for the season in May.
The farmers market returns to Lewinsville Park at 1659 Chain Bridge Road. Hours will be 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays from May 7 to Nov. 12.
Shoppers will find fresh produce, baked goods, meats and more at the farmers market. Only vendors that grow or produce everything from scratch are permitted to sell at the market.
The opening follows the openings of the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon, Herndon and Burke farmers markets in April. Other park authority farmers markets opening in May are Oak Marr, Wakefield, Annandale, Kingstowne, Reston and Lorton.
COVID-19 health requirements will continue in 2021 to protect customers, market staff and volunteers. Groups of shoppers will be limited to four people, and face masks are required for everyone over age 2. People should maintain six feet of distancing from other customers, vendors and market managers. Customers may not touch items, as vendors will bag all purchases. Anyone with symptoms of illness is asked to stay home. Online sales and contactless payments with credit or debit cards are encouraged.
