MYC Bug Island Improvement Day! A chance to get Bug Island cleaned up and ready for the season as lifts are already placed in the water. We are happy to announce that your Bug Island scow/X Boat lifts are in for the season! We are also happy to announce that Saturday, May 8th aka Lift-In Day is not mandatory and rather is a voluntary work day to help with some improvements around the island and provide a chance for you to get your ramp to your lift put in. Again, Saturday, May 8th from 10:30 - 12:30 we will have a voluntary Bug Island Improvement day followed with some grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Please RSVP if you plan to attend - attendance is limited to 30 people. You will need to wear a mask on the pontoon shuttle over to Bug. If the weather isn't looking great, we will reschedule for Sunday, May 9th from 10:30 - 12:30 and notify you Thursday, May 6th of this decision. Attendance is limited to 30 people, this is NOT a social event, we ask that if you attend you please participate in cleaning up the island. Items that will be addressed on the island: General island yard clean up - raking, taking down low limbs, moving chopped woodRamp expansion - Moving rock from the ramp to a wheelbarrow to be dispersed other areas of the island (if you have waders and wish to participate in this activity, please bring them!)Hanging the shelter awningPotting flowersStabilizing the wooden ramp to the floating dockAnything else that we find needs some TLC
