About the artists: Kurt Brownell is a commercial advertising photographer based in Victor, NY. Kurt grew up on the Great Sacandaga Lake in the Adirondacks, after which he attended RIT and earned a bachelors degree in Photographic Illustration in 1996. Kurt worked as photo and production assistant out of college while he grew his own client base. Kurt’s studio was headquartered in the city of Rochester for twenty years, until building a studio in Victor. Kurt shoots primarily on-location for a broad swath of companies and corporations, in fields such as hospitality, food and beverage, healthcare, higher education, architecture, human services, and a variety of business to business clients. Select clients include Wegmans, URMC, Rochester Regional Health, Constellation Brands, Marriott, Hyatt, Gunlocke, The Strong, ESL, LaBella, Intergrow, Heritage Christian Services, Iron Smoke Whiskey, MasterLock, Yamaha, University of Rochester, Nazareth College, Roberts Wesleyan, Eastman School of Music, O’Connell Electric, and ARC of Monroe. You may also recognize Kurt’s work from various cookbooks he has produced for the Rochester Public Market, The Great Homes of Rochester book, and the Horses on Parade and Animals on Parade books. He also spent eight years as chief photographer for City Newspaper, photographing many different aspects of Rochester and its diversity. The past five years of business have been focused on developing and providing video and motion capture services for clients, as well as honing and promoting his drone flying skills for commercial work. When not on assignment or getting a camera in the air, Kurt loves to be around his family. He is married to Liz, a dedicated FLCC professor, and talented artist in her own right. Their two children, Chloe and Luke, have spent their lives graciously indulging and mugging for their dad. Kurt’s family and friends are his creative muse, inspiring much of his desire to create and develop as an artist. Meredith Mallwitz-Meyer was born in Canandaigua, NY in 1977. She received her BFA from the Art Institute of Boston in 2001. During her time at AIB she also studied through the Mobility program at the California College of Arts in San Francisco & the Exchange program at the Scuola Lorenzo Di Medici Art Institute of Florence, Italy. Meredith's work is shown and privately collected across the United States. She currently resides in the Finger Lakes Region of New York where she lives with her husband and daughter.
