Open until Filled Apply immediately ~Posted on 4/26/2021 Spend your summer working on projects that allow you to work outside while earning valuable work experience by working with a community-oriented organization that is committed to contributing to the well-being of the environment! $15.75 - $19.24 per hour 40-hours per week, Monday through Friday Work reporting address: Varies by Assignment Applicants must be at least 18 years of age The Positions: METER BOX MAINTENANCE – (1 position) Works with regular crews to prune vegetation around meter boxes, perform general cleaning and maintenance of boxes, and assist with installing or replacing meters and meter boxes. May provide assistance on a variety of administrative tasks including, but not limited to, data entry, sorting and printing documents. Work Location: 220 Tamal Vista Blvd, Corte Madera. Work hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This summer assignment is scheduled for three (3) months duration at the Corte Madera location. Anticipated Start Date: June 2021. Desired qualifications: Ability to perform heavy physical work, work outside in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds; will be working with various hand tools. Safety boots required. WATER EFFICIENCY – (2 positions) Provides assistance on a variety of administrative tasks in response to the current drought situation, including stuffing envelopes, making photocopies, and assisting with processing outreach to customers. Will also assist with other water efficiency projects, as needed, including but not limited to distributing supplies, staffing informational booths at community events and conducting neighborhood patrols to identify water waste offenses. Work Location: 220 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera. Work hours are anticipated to be Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. but some weekend, early morning or late evening shifts may be required, so flexibility is a must. This summer assignment is scheduled for three (3) months duration at the Corte Madera location. Anticipated Start Date: June 2021. Desired qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working with the general public, and an interest in administrative support work. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent driving and navigation skills are required. Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid class C California driver’s license (prior to assignment start date). A satisfactory driving record is also required. Safety boots required.
