Position Requires ability to work all shifts, with two consecutive days off per week, and available to work overtime as needed. General Laborer: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not Limited to) · The primary responsibility of the Laborer is to perform all railcar support Work (Cleaning, Debris Removal, and Prepping railcars for loading) to accomplish expediting the repair work needed. · Work is physical and involves kneeling, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 75lbs "occasionally." Mechanic/Welder (Railcar Repairperson): (Not Limited to) · The primary responsibility of the Mechanic/Welder is to perform all railcar repairs (ARC Welding, Usage of an Ocy/Acy Torch, and fabrication) in a mannerly fashion to expedite railcar repairs. · Work is physical and involves kneeling, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 75lbs "occasionally." Special certification or unique skills required: · Must have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a background check and drug screen. · Must be able to be qualified to meet the D15.1 welding qualification within 90 days from the hire date. Job Type: Full-time Pay: Laborer: $16.50 per hour to start Welder: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour Depending on experience. D1.1 Certification or D15.1 Qualification preferred but not required.
