We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, and safety minded who can follow all necessary procedures and guidelines. Summary The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment such as skid steers and excavators. This position requires at least 5 years of recent experience. Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to) the following: • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans. • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met. • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment. • Operate Skid Steers with attachments and Excavators • Tow equipment (as needed). • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate to complete job within bid schedule. • Resolve problems when they arise. • Monitor job progress and report any delays to Dispatch. • Enforce daily machine maintenance per company policy. Requirements • High school diploma, equivalent work experience. • Minimum (5) years of experience in the construction field. • Must be able to comfortably wear a respirator. • Ability to read and comprehend plans, instructions, procedures, correspondence, & memos. • Ability to speak and understand English. (Bilingual is a bonus) • Valid CA Driver License with clean driving record. Class A preferred. • Pre-employment drug and background screening required. • Must be able to operate skid steer/track loader and 50-80k excavator. • Familiar with both residential and commercial projects.
